ALTURAS – Mrs. Sandra “Kay” Crews, 81, passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2019. Mrs. Crews was born December 2, 1937 in Freelandville, IN and has been a resident of Alturas for many years. She was a receptionist for her husband, Dr. Phillip Crews, D.C. for 42 years, past president of the Alturas Woman’s Club, former owner of the Cypress House Antique and Craft Store in Lake Wales from 1992-1995, and she and her husband were cattle ranchers and citrus growers together for 40 years. Mrs. Crews was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lorraine Crawford Kester of Sullivan, IN. She is survived by her loving daughter, Mrs. Denise Haag and husband Dr. Roger Haag, D.C.; grandchildren, Jennifer Porro and husband Anthony, and Katie Holland and husband Matt; great-grandchildren, A.J. Porro and Brady Porro. Private family services will be held.
