Karen A. Minske was born on her parent’s farm May 26th 1944, as a twin she was the first born and would always say that Kenneth was a “true gentleman” since he had let her be born prior to him. In school, Karen most enjoyed band, playing the trombone specifically. She graduated from Greenbush H.S. in 1962 and worked at the Greenbush State bank until united in marriage to Bryce Minske September 12th, 1964. They lived in Pembina N.D. for a few years where Karen worked at H.A. and J.L. Wood Customs brokers. Karen and Bryce moved to Roseau in 1968, Karen then worked various secretarial positions at Polaris. Once Bryan was born, Karen returned to work for H.A. and J.L. Wood Customs brokers where she was able to work from home and did so until her retirement. Karen’s love was raising Bryan and Rachel, she taught them a strong work ethic, a high moral standard, and to do the right thing. She also taught them the art of doing all of that while keeping a soft heart and loving hand. Karen had many hobbies in which she could share the fruits of her labor; She made numerous quilts for family members. She baked cakes for many family birthdays, weddings and anniversaries, all which were done to perfection. The Kolaches and sauerkraut that she made with her parents were second to none. Karen enjoyed decorating the family home “gives a new outlook on life!” when visiting you would never expect to see the same décor (or furniture location) twice. In later years, Karen enjoyed the daily crossword with Bryce, going for drives through the countryside with her pup “Peanut” and being surrounded by her children and grandchildren every chance she could get. As the saying goes, “The Lord picks the most beautiful flowers for his bouquets.” Karen passed away August 19th, 2019 peacefully at home surrounded by love. Karen (Mom) takes with her so much knowledge, empathy, love, and wisdom. Her laugh, smirk, and very telling facial expressions will forever be missed. Our family now has a hole that cannot be filled. “Don’t weep at my grave, for I am not there I’ve a date with a butterfly to dance in the air. I’ll be singing in the sunshine, wild and free playing tag with the wind while I’m waiting for thee.” Karen Survived by her husband Bryce Son Bryan (Carrie) Minske Daughter Rachel (Richard) Minor Grandchildren Annika, Ashley, Aryanna Minor Brother Kenneth (Jean) Wojciehowski Sister Marianne (loren) Ballard Sister-in-law Twyla Wojchowski And many nieces and nephews Preceded in death by her parents Rose and Walter Wojchowski Brother Gene Wojchowski Per Karen and families wishes, there will be no funeral services at this time.
