Montano, Jose Manuel Age 82, passed away Monday, August 26, 2019. He was born in Anton Chico, NM on January 8, 1937, to Jose and Antonia Montano. Jose was the custodial superintendent for 25 years at Albuquerque High. He loved fishing, camping and watching his Denver Broncos play. He was a gifted singer and guitar player, he also was a gardener and kept a beautiful yard. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Antonia Montano; grandson, Jose Jinzo; brother, Carlitos Montano. Jose is survived by his wife of 64 years, Maria Montano; children; Samuel Montano and wife, Elvira, Guadalupe Emanuel and husband, Darren, Alejandro Montano and wife, Lori, Marie Olivarez and husband, Ed, Henry J. Montano and wife, Lorraine, Jennifer Hoskins and husband, Jack; 19 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren; brothers, Juan Montano and Ernest Montano. A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 from 4:00-5:00 pm at Garcia Mortuary ~ Chapel of Angels, on the corner of 8th and Iron with a Rosary to be recited at 5:00 pm. A Final viewing will be held from 8:30 am with a Mass to follow at 9:00 am on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at St. Therese of the Infant Jesus, 3424 4th St. NW. Interment to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Charlie Jinzo, Delmer Hoskins, Carlos Montano, Darren Emanuel, Ed Olivarez and Raymond Jinzo.
