JOHNNY HUGHES, age 75, of Sevierville, TN went to be with Jesus on Monday, August 19, 2019. Johnny was a great husband, Dad and a good friend to everyone. He was retired from McNelly-Whaley Ford in Sevierville. He proudly served in the Army and later as a reserve deputy with the Sevier County Sheriff’s Office. He also loved fishing and woodworking. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Ponder and Mamie C. Hughes and brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Sandra Hughes. Johnny is survived by his wife of 54 years, Wanda Hughes; daughter, Robin Hughes; sister, Brenda (Raymond) Donahue; several nieces and nephews; and several brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws. Mr. Hughes will lie in state on Thursday, August 22, 2019 from noon until 5:00pm at the Farrar Funeral Home Dandridge Chapel. A graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, August 23, 2019 at 10:00am at Hills Union Cemetery with the reverend John Clark officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Hills Union Cemetery Fund Association – 2383 Hills Chapel Road, Dandridge, TN 37725.
