John Paul Grippa, 39, of Jersey City for 11 years and formerly of Saddle River, passed away at home on August 24, 2019. He was a Senior Information Technology Consultant for Zudy and prior he worked at Back Office Assoc. for 16 years. John Paul loved science, dancing, and being down the shore. He was a great guy and loved by all. Loving husband of Stephanie Ann (nee Pecchio) Grippa. Devoted son of Robert Grippa and Alice (nee O’Brien) Grippa. Dear brother of Blaise Grippa and his wife Daina, Peter Grippa and his wife Stacey and Robert Grippa. Caring uncle of Blaise, Nicholas, Vincent, Joseph, Isabella and Alexandria. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, mother-in-law Mary Jane Pecchio, father-in-law Steven Pecchio and grandparents-in-law. John Paul will be missed by his beloved cats, especially Fluff, Mr. Chow and Lucy. Funeral departing from the Kimak Funeral Home, 425 Broad Street, Carlstadt on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at 9:45 AM for a Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s R.C. Church, Rutherford at 10:30 AM. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visitation Wednesday 4-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Neighborhoodcats.org, in memory of John Paul Grippa, to further the life saving TNR efforts for the cats of Jersey City, which he so graciously supported and assisted with over the last five years.
