Jimmie, age 66, passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2019. He was a native of Kenner, and a longtime resident of Albany. Jimmie was an excellent and avid golfer. He supported his family as a hard-working painter for many years. When Jimmie stayed indoors, you could very well find him in front of his television watching ‘The Western Channel’. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Jimmie wouldn’t want anyone to forget his awesome pet dog, Brutus Casanova. Jimmie is survived by his loving wife, Debra Edwards Rowell; daughter, Cathy Rowell Murphy (Charles); sons, Doyle Rowell, Christopher Rowell (Brandy), Kenneth Rowell (Crystal), and Eric Rowell; grandchildren, Justin Murphy, Kyle Murphy, Caitlyn Rowell, Seth Rowell, Mia Rowell, Greggory Rowell, and Addison Rowell; great-grandchild, Harper; brother, Billy Wayne Rowell; along with numerous nieces and newphews. Jimmie is preceded in death by his parents, Noah and Mary Rowell; sister, Lois Rowell; brothers, John Earl Rowell, Jesse Rowell, and Doyle Rowell. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation from the Chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, Hammond, on Sunday, September 1, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the Celebration of Life Service at 12:00 p.m. Following the service in Hammond, friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service at 2:30 p.m. in Franklinton, at the Beard-Rowell Cemetery.
