James “J.C.” Wilkes, age 71, of Milledgeville, passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2019. A native of Laurens County, J.C. was born November 7, 1947 to the late Raymond Wilkes and the late Alene Graham Wilkes. He was a “full time grandpa”. He retired from Sales with Childre Nissan, and was a member of Victory Baptist Church. He was a 1970 Graduate of the University of Georgia with a B.A. in Business. J.C. is survived by his Wife, Martha Wilkes of Milledgeville ; his Daughter, Cindy (& Chris) Tipton of Milledgeville ; his Sons, Jeff (& Jessica) Wilkes of Milledgeville and Clay (& Melissa) Wilkes of Van Wert, OH ; his Brother, Cliff (& Marilyn) Wilkes of Coconut Creek, FL ; and Five Grandchildren, Alyssa Wilkes, Brianna Tipton, Mason Wilkes, Bailey Tipton, and Hayden Wilkes. Funeral Services for James “J.C.” Wilkes will be conducted Saturday, August 17, 2019 at 11:00am in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home with Dr. Don Long and Rev. Kenny Walker officiating . Interment will follow in Heritage Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Friday, August 16, 2019 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm. Those who wish, may make Memorial Contributions in memory of J.C. Wilkes, to Victory Baptist Church, 640 Meriwether Road, Milledgeville, GA 31061.
