Janet Joy Brunner, age 89, of Huntsville, Ohio passed away peacefully at 4:50 P.M. Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine, Ohio surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Logan County Ohio June 8, 1930, to the late Clayton and Nellie Mae (Love) Turner. On December 26, 1947, Janet married Wilford Stanley Brunner in Maysville, Kentucky and he preceded her in death December 17, 2007. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca Brunner; a sister, Lucinda Ewing; three brothers, Clayton Turner Jr., Robert Turner, and Charles Turner; a daughter-in-law, Diana (Quay) Brunner and a son-in-law, John Park. Janet is survived by eight children, Michael (Susan) Brunner of Huntsville, Debra (John) Hanson of Huntsville, Delores Brunner of West Liberty, Ohio, Mark (Donna) Brunner of West Mansfield, Ohio, Diane (Don) Lewis of Lewistown, Ohio, Lory Park of Apex, North Carolina, John (Deborah) Brunner of Bellefontaine, and David Brunner of Belle Center, Ohio; nineteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren and another expected in December; a sister, Norma Steinhelfer of West Liberty; a brother, William Turner of Fairborn, Ohio and many nieces and nephews. A 1949 graduate of Huntsville High School, Janet worked as a medical receptionist for several local doctors including Dr. Krajewsky and Dr. Bonetzky. She especially cherished time spent with family. For years she enjoyed hosting reunions and gatherings at the family farm. The family is so appreciative of the loving care Janet received from Dr. Gleason, the fourth floor nursing staff at Mary Rutan Hospital and the Green Hills Community. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. to 12 noon Saturday, August 31, 2019, at the Lewistown-Trinity United Methodist Church Community Center in Lewistown, where Pastor Ken Neighoff (chaplain at Green Hills) will officiate the funeral service beginning at 12 noon. Burial will follow the funeral service at the Huntsville Cemetery in Huntsville, Ohio. The arrangements are in the care of the staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Bellefontaine. D.S.
