Mr. James Michael Silver, Sr., 63, passed away at his home on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. James was born on December 8, 1955 in Detroit, MI to James Percy Silver and Margaret Jeanne (Weldon) Silver. He is survived by his wife Gean, of the home; his two daughters, Cleatha Mae Cox of GA and Shannon Valaire Silver of Richmond, VA; his three sons, Donnie Jacob Howell of Fayetteville, James Michael Silver, Jr. of Petersburg, VA and Justin Ernest Silver of Petersburg, VA; his mother, Margaret Jean Silver of Port Huron, MI; four sisters, Laura Ann Slota and husband, Gerald of Port Huron, MI, Catherine Florence Martin of Port Huron, MI, Jean Marie Buzan and husband, Mike of Houston, TX, and Deborah Silver of Port Huron, MI; two brothers, Bobby Silver and wife, Linda of Port Huron, MI and Shawn Silver of Port Huron, MI. James was preceded in death by his father James Percy Silver, and two brothers Charles James Silver and John Earl Silver. The family will receive friends from 10:45 to 11:45AM Saturday, August 31, 2019 in the Praise Fellowship Church of God, 514 Adam Street, Fayetteville, NC 28301. A Funeral Service will follow at noon with Pastor Richard Williford officiating. Burial will be at Fayetteville Memorial Cemetery with Military Honors.
