Jacqulon E. “Jackie” Dogan, 83, of Marshall, died on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at Bronson Battle Creek following a short illness surrounded by her family. Jackie was born on June 6, 1936 in Eckford Township to Roy and Dorotha (Nichols) Buskirk. She graduated from Marshall High School in 1955. On December 1, 1956 she married Pau B. Dogan in Marshall. He preceded her in death on May 16, 2014. Jackie retired Brooks Rupture Appliance in Marshall in 1998. Prior to that she worked at Trans American Insurance in Battle Creek, State Farm Insurance Company in Marshall, and Michigan National Bank. Jackie was a member of the Grace Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading her bible, drawing, and traveling. Jackie and her husband Paul enjoyed traveling around the country and going to Canada on fishing trips. She loved spending time with her dogs and her family. She would look forward to the yearly family reunion. She is survived by her children Cathy (Ron) Partin of North Canton, Ohio, Cheryl Dogan of Battle Creek, and Paul (Missy Cavender) Dogan of Homer; grandchildren, Cali (Jeff) Paszkowski, Courtney Burdette (Chris Thetford), Traci (Mike) Stein, Chad (Jen Strouss) Burdette, Cody Burdette, MiKayla Dogan, Sandra (Tim) Larrington and MacKenzee Morris; great grandchildren, Hannah, Austin and Kaydence Burdette, Emma and D.J. Paszkowski, Faith and Alexia Thetford, Kailyn, Lilian, and Bethany Stein, Kyleigh, Kayla and Karissa Larrington; and siblings, Patricia Crawford and Clifford Babcock. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter Lisa Gayle Dogan; stepfather Clifford Babcock; siblings, Gary Buskirk, Doris Leach, and Kenneth Babcock. Family will greet friends on Sunday, August 18, 2019 from 1-4pm at the Marshall Chapel of the Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services 723 US 27 North Marshall. Funeral services celebrating her life will take place at 11am on Monday, August 19, 2019 at the Marshall Chapel of the Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Service with Reverend Brandon Crawford officiating. Interment will follow at 1pm at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Family will gather with friends following the committal service at Grace Baptist Church, 500 Cosmopolitan, Marshall. Memorial contributions are requested to Grace Baptist Church. Assistance with memorials is available at the Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
