He was born March 24, 1941 in Plainview, Texas. He married Marla Jane Edwards on September 19, 1975. He was a cab driver, tire technician and repairman, also was a talented carpenter. Loved ones include wife Marla Gerdes; sister-in-law Rhonda Welch and husband, Keith; sister-in-law, Bonnie McGwier; brother-in-law, Larry Edwards; brother-in-law, Richard Edwards and wife, Lissa; two nieces, Tammie and Jennifer .
