Hermann Hans zu Hone, age 88, passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at his home in Manassas, VA. He was born on February 25, 1931 in Orange, New Jersey to the late Hermann and Katie (Hohn) zu Hone. Predeceased by his parents, his twin brother: Dietrich (Dick) zu Hone; his son: Kris zu Hone; his brother-in-law: Donald Rounds and his son-in-law: Aaron Flannery. Survivors include loving wife of 65 years, Gertrude A. zu Hone; five children: Mark zu Hone and wife Elizabeth, Beth zu Hone and husband Tim McMahon, Robin Flannery, Kim Ewing and husband Don; and Eric zu Hone and wife Tammy; one brother: Robert zu Hone and wife Julia; one sister: Evelyn Rounds; 15 grandchildren: Katie zu Hone, Elisa Trejo, Thomas zu Hone, Jennifer zu Hone, Anna McMahon, Mari Kate McMahon, Victoria McMahon, Jeremy Flannery, Shea Flannery, AJ Flannery, Renee Ewing, Brooke Ewing, Brianne Ewing, Aarika zu Hone and Jakob zu Hone; and one great granddaughter: McKenzie Trejo. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 11:00 AM at All Saints Catholic Church, 9300 Stonewall Road, Manassas, VA. Inurnment will follow immediately after mass at Place of Peace, 9535 Linton Hall Road, Bristow, VA.
