Mr. Herman E. Miller, age 84 of Guthrie, passed away on Thursday, August 29th at his home of natural causes. Mr. Miller was born January 29, 1935 in Kalona, Iowa the son of the late Ezra and Edna Brenneman Miller. Mr. Miller was a minister and a member of the South District Amish Church and was a retired farmer. He was preceded in death by his parents as well as one son Arlis Miller (2007); one daughter Carrie Coblentz (1988); three brothers Chester, Mahlon and Edward Miller and two sisters Catherine Yoder and Barbara Miller. He is survived by two brothers Joe Miller Jr. and Mark Miller both of Kalona, Iowa; one sister Ida Miller of Carpenter, Wyoming; five grandchildren Wilma JoAnn , Martha Rose, Lovina Kay, Glen Leroy and Suetta Anne; one great grandchild Carrie Marie; one son in law Sam Coblentz (Rosemary) of Guthrie; one brother in law Mose I. Miller of Donniphan, Missouri and two sister in laws Susie Miller of Delaware and Edna Miller of Iowa. Visitation with the Miller family will be held on Saturday afternoon from 2:00 until 5:00 and from 6:00 until 8:00 at the South District Amish Church. Funeral service is scheduled to be conducted on Sunday morning at 10:00 at the South District Amish Church with Minister Marvin Kanagy officiating. Interment to follow at the South District Amish Church Cemetery.
