Grace Bransfield Farley, 93, passed away on August 16, 2019 after a brief illness. A long time resident of Cranford NJ, and a 60 year member of Echo Lake Country Club where Graceenjoyed her special Echo Lake book club, her Wednesday lunch group, wonderful friendships and many memories. Grace graduated from The Katherine Gibbs School in the 1940’s and was the Executive Assistant to the president of E. Collier Publishing Company in New York. She married John C. Farley in 1951 and became a homemaker raising three daughters. She embarked on a second career in the late 1970’s as a Forecast Analyst for the Consumer Over The Counter Products of Bristol Meyers Squibb. She retired in 1994 and enjoyed traveling with her husband until he passed in 2001. In addition to Echo Lake, Grace was a member of the Westfield Service League for over 55 years. She remained an “Active” Sustainer until her death this past week. She chaired the November Harvest Fall breakfast for many years where she meticulously arranged the can goods on every table so it was just right! She always believed in giving especially to those who were less fortunate. She treasured the friendships she made over the years as a member of the Westfield Service League. Grace also had volunteered at Children’s Specialized Hospital in Mountainside and Muhlenberg Hospital in Plainfield. She is survived by her wonderful three daughters, Gail Wilkerson of St. Louis, Mo, Nancie Wardrop(Bob) of North Granby, CT, and Katie Nolle (Paul) of Murray Hill, NJ. She is also survived by four loving and caring Grandsons, Robert, John and Randy Wardrop and Paul Nolle III and one Great Grandson, Silas Wardrop. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 50 years, John C. Farley, her kind son-in-law Jerry Wilkerson, her brother William E. Bransfield and her two very best friends, Peggy Clare and Avis Skinner. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday August 20th at St. Michael’s Church, 40 Alden Street, Cranford NJ. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery Westfield.
