George’s Obituary George C. Nickens, 73, died Wednesday, August 21st, 2019. George was born May 2nd, 1946, in Eldorado, OK. George did many things in his life from training race horses to driving truck and had good stories to tell about his adventures. He made his family home in Sedan, NM. George retired last year and got to go see the Grand Canyon with one of his buddies, he had stories to tell about this adventure too. He was also a member of the Sedan Volunteer Fire Department for over 35 years, he cooked pancakes every year for the Pancake Supper. George is survived by his children, Kelly Galloway and her husband Marty of Dalhart. Casey Nickens and his husband Troy Whitehead of Fort Worth, Texas. One grandson Payton Galloway of Dalhart, whom his “Papa” is so very proud of. One brother Jerry Nickens of Houston, TX, sister Lana Duncan and her husband Russel of Altus, OK, sister in law Myrna Nickens of Borger, Texas, sister in law Sally Sockel of Cleveland, Ohio. Several nieces and nephews. George was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and the love of his life Susan Nickens. Memorial Services are pending.
