Genevieve Kirk, 93 of Augusta County, died Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at Accordius Health at Waynesboro. She was born April 6, 1926 in Charleston, West Virginia. She was the first of eight children born to Macel and Dayton Parrish, also of Charleston, West Virginia. Genevieve worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for over 50 years and was active member and an officer in the state LPN association. She was a member of Advent Christian Church of Waynesboro. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, The Rev. Curtis Kirk and two sons, John Kirk and Paul Kirk. She is survived by two sons, David Lee Kirk and Donald Kirk; two sisters; two brothers; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Tuesday, August 13, 2019, at Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, 619 Lifecore Drive, Fishersville, Virginia 22939. In the lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions, in her name, to Augusta Health – Hospice of the Shenandoah, c/o Augusta Health Foundation, P. O.
