Gayle’s Obituary Share in the memory of Gayle Ann Putnam January 9, 1957 to August 5, 2019. There are moments in life when you wish you could bring someone down from heaven, spend the day with them just one more time, give them a hug, kiss them goodbye, or hear their voice again. Just one more chance to say: “I love you”. Gayle was 62 years old when she passed away on 8/5/2019 in her home. She was planning on retiring from Arizona’s Department of Economic Security on 01/09/2020, after working for 30 years as their IT Product Manager. She loved her job and the wonderful people she worked with. Gayle originally went to Portland State College to obtain a Bachelors in Education and planned to be a teacher before she switched to Computer Science. She enjoyed the theatre so much that she purchased season tickets and attended plays with her friends for several decades. Her other interests were quilting, bead craft and jewelry making. She made quilts for all of her nieces and nephews and created beautiful and unique jewelry. Gayle cherished her family and friends. She leaves behind: her mother and step-father, three siblings, five nieces and nephews and one great grand-niece. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on 8/19/2019 at Arizona Community Church, 9325 S. Rural Road, Tempe, AZ 85284. Following a reception at the church, Gayle will be placed to rest at Valley of the Sun Cemetery at 1:00 PM. Gayle did not have children of her own; but adored them. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: Feed My Starving Children at www.fmsc.org. Arrangements entrusted to Tempe Mortuary. Read More
