Thompson, Frederick E. Age 91. Died August 26, 2019. Born on November 15, 1927 in Royal Oak to Don and Julia (nee Paus) Thompson. Fred proudly served in the US Army. He married Jane Schettler and the couple lived in Royal Oak since 1957. Jane preceded him in death on June 11, 2017. Mr. Thompson received his master’s degree from the University of Michigan. He was a passionate U-M fan, Go Blue! His career teaching English and drama included working at Cousineau High School in Warren, Warren Consolidated Schools, Sterling Heights High School and Wayne County Community College. Known for his love of reading, he also enjoyed attending plays with Jane, especially taking trips to New York to see productions. Fred also liked doing yardwork at his home. Beloved husband of the late Jane. Loving father of Laura Pasquinelli (George Eschenburg) and Fred (Lacy) Thompson. Proud grandfather of Katie (Jake) Roselli, Jamie (Amy) Thompson, Julie Thompson, Bradley Thompson, Ruth Thompson and great grandfather of Liana, Audrey, Nathaniel, Joshua, Gwynn, Adelaide and Penelope. Brother of the late William Thompson. Inurnment with military honors performed by the United State Army on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at 10:30 am at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly.
