Frances’ Obituary Frances Brown, age 84, of Texarkana, TX, died Tuesday, August 27, 2019, in a local hospital following a brief illness. She was born on September 29, 1934 in Lockesburg, AR to Thurman and Frankie Elkins. She retired as the secretary at Pleasant Grove High School and was a member of First Baptist Church Texarkana, TX. She was all about spending time with her family, especially her five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She will always be remembered for being a loyal fan of her beloved Pleasant Grove Hawks. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Herman Brown. She is survived by her two daughters, Betsy Rice and Trudy Brown in addition to her five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Brown was laid to rest at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens in a private service. A Celebration of Life will be held in the atrium at First Baptist Church, Texarkana on Friday, August 30, 2019 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Larry Sims officiating. Read More
