98, of Vestal, went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 4, 2019. She was a resident of the Willow Point Nursing Home at the time of her death. Esther was born on February 7, 1921 in Hallstead PA; the daughter of the late Eugene & Eva (Gage) Gathany. She is survived by two sons, Philip (Sally) Robb of Dallas GA and Richard (Linda) Robb of Binghamton and by her grandchildren, Mark (Kristyn) Robb, their sons Spencer and Connor of Trenton, MI, Michelle (Anthony) Letts, their children Carson and Natalie, Acworth GA, and Andelyn Robb of Glenside, PA. Esther was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, the Dr. Kenneth C. Robb and nine siblings. Esther graduated from the Practical Bible Training School in 1942 and in September of that year, married her classmate, Kenneth. She enjoyed her role in the churches pastored by Dr. Robb where she exhibited great passion for children’s ministry. They returned to serve at their Alma Mater in 1963 where her faithful labor and attention to detail benefited students and the school alike. Esther was a woman who fought the good fight, finished her course, and kept the faith. A Funeral Service to honor and remember Esther will be held on Sunday, at 4pm at the Barber Memorial Home, Inc., 428 Main St, Johnson City. Burial will be in Mountain Valley Cemetery, Liberty Township, PA at the family’s convenience. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2pm until the time of the service at the Barber Memorial Home.
