Drusilla Virginia Granroth, age 91, of Duluth, formerly of Tucson, AZ died Sunday, July 28, 2019 at BeeHive Assisted Living in Duluth. She was born on July 3, 1928 to Ludvig A. and Esther (Piekkola) Kangas and raised in New York Mills, MN. Drusilla married Elmer Granroth on February 13, 1950 in Wadena, MN. After their marriage she and Elmer moved to Marble, MN where they raised their five children. Wherever they lived, Drusilla was very involved with her church, and known for her bakery goods and crafts. In Duluth, she was a member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Elmer on July 21, 2012, three brothers and one sister. Drusilla is survived by her children George (Marcia) Granroth of Ham Lake, MN, Kathleen (Douglas) Cook, Kim (Greg) Malone of Wadena, MN, Carol (Rick) Walczak of Duluth and Keith (Tricia) Granroth of New Richmond, WI; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren, and one on the way; five great-great-grandchildren; and her sisters Priscilla Muckala and Evelyn Bergmann. VISITATION: Saturday, August 10, 2019 from 10-11AM, followed at 11AM by the funeral service at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, 2012 E. Superior St. Burial will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
