Dorothy’s Obituary Dorothy J. Houser, 85, of Gold Canyon, AZ, formerly of Fremont, NE, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2019 at Mi Casa Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Mesa, AZ. Dorothy was born November 10, 1933 in Wilber, NE, to Fred and Judith (Vilda) Houser. The family moved to Fremont, NE, where Dorothy graduated from Fremont High School. She worked at George A. Hormel & Company for over 17 years before moving to Mesa, AZ in 1972. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. Dorothy enjoyed playing golf, traveling to National Parks, spoiling her dogs, and living in her home in Mountain Brook Village near the Superstition Mountains in Gold Canyon for the last 27 years. Dorothy is survived by her beloved cocker spaniel, Suzy; longtime friend and companion, Charlotte Callahan of Gold Canyon; brother, Dick Houser of Fremont; sisters-in-law Barb and Marilyn Houser of Fremont; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents; brothers Victor, Frank, George, Gene and Ken; sisters-in-law Kay, Sharon and Ann. Arrangements are pending with Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont, NE.
