ANDERSON, Donald Joseph, 85, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Friday, August 16, 2019. He served in the United States Navy and the Reserves. He was a retired electrician and worked for International Harvester in the foundry. He was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, American Legion Dixie Post 220, IBEW Local 369, The Derby 30, and the MBS Men’s Club. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael J. Anderson. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Helen Roehrig Anderson; daughters, Debra Anderson (Gary Cusick) and Sandra Anderson (Dale Clark); son, Daniel Anderson (Sandra); 7 grandchildren, Alex Berger (Whitney), Kevin Berger (Kari), Philip Berger, Chris Cusick, Sarah Anderson, Patrick Anderson, and Vanessa Anderson; and 5 great-grandchildren. His funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 3509 Taylor Blvd, with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Joseph E. Ratterman & Son, 7336 Southside Drive. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made to Hosparus of Louisville or Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
