Danny Ray Byers “BUB”, 63 of Battle Creek passed away to Heaven on Wednesday August 14, 2019 at his home surrounded by family and friends. Bub was born in Battle Creek, MI on January 27, 1956 to Donald and Shirley Byers. He graduated from Springfield High School in 1974, where he played Basketball, Football, and Baseball. Bub joined the Army in 1974 and served proudly until 1980. He married Julie A. Fox in 1976. He went to work for Post Cereal’s in 1983, retiring after 29 years. Bub was an avid outdoorsman & enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. His other interest included, electronics, metal working, and golf. Bub is survived by his son Danny R. (Angela) Byers II of Battle Creek MI, and daughters Kristi Byers of Las Vegas, NV, and Amber Sanford of Grand Rapids, MI. Brother Donald (Terri) Byers II of Fresno CA, Sisters Debbi (Wayne) Brown of Battle Creek, MI, and Diane (Gary) Scharbor of Greenwood, AK. Also survived by 5 Grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his parents. He will be missed by all who knew him for his big heart and his caring ways. There will be a memorial service at Camp Thornapple in Nashville, MI on Sunday August 25, 2019 at 2:30 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life at 4:00 p.m. www.henryfuneralhome.org
