Crystal D. Ford, age 47, of Morristown, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.

I’m her daughter and I just want to tell more about her. She was a gorgeous soul. She would refer to herself as Barbie and Crybaby. She looked like Barbie and Crybaby was just a nickname. Despite it, she was one of the brightest people I’ve ever known. Even when she was upset she was still cracking jokes and smiling. She rarely ever let anyone see the actual amount of pain she was in until she couldn’t hide it. Everyone around me seemed to forget that pain when she became “herself” again. She didn’t hide it for her benefit, she hid it for her kids. People can say negative things about her, and yeah she wasn’t the best mom, but she did what she knew how to do. I think us moving is what did it for her. Me, Devon, and Brandon. We already broke the strings inside her. When we moved though, I think it broke her last one. It’s horrible to see such a bright generous soul break into pieces…but it’s worse when you know the soul deserves better. She did what she had to do to provide for her family, again…until she couldn’t.
