Colin Stuart McRavey, 46, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2019. Colin was the son of the late John McRavey and Josephine Hughes. He was born in Castleraegh, Northern Ireland, and was raised in his beloved Glasgow, Scotland, where he attended St Aloysius School and the University of Strathclyde. Colin lived a full and purposeful life. He completed dozens of endurance races around the world and was an Abbott World Marathon Majors Six Star Finisher. He was an avid cyclist, gamer, scientist, IT executive, Patriots superfan, scuba instructor, pilot, and professional chef. Colin was first in his MBA class at Pepperdine University then pursued a culinary degree from Le Cordon Bleu School, where he again finished first in his class. He trained at acclaimed restaurant The Fat Duck in Bray, England, rated the world’s best restaurant. After a successful professional career in the pharmaceutical industry, Colin worked for the past 8 years at Veeva Systems, where he was Sr Director in the Customer Services Division. Colin’s greatest sources of pride and joy were his 2 adoring children, Abigail and Andrew. He also leaves behind a loving wife, Anne; brothers Keith and Thomas; sisters Lyndsay Quinn and Laura-Anne Carroll; parents-in-law, Stephen and Mary Gail Mongillo; and best friend, David Burns. Colin was a brother-in-law, uncle, friend, mentor, and colleague to many and will be greatly missed.
