Myrtle Beach, South Carolina… Claudine Awalt, age 84, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2019. Claudine, lovingly referred to as Dean, was the daughter of the late Claude and Martha Thacker. She retired from the Myrtle Beach Air Force Base Officers’ Club after 25 years of service and finished her career at Conway Medical Center. Dean was a devoted sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and mother to her sweet furbaby, China. Dean enjoyed Bingo; spending time with her grands; being on the go and just having lots of fun. She never met a stranger and if you ever needed anything, you could always count on Dean. Dean’s husband, Thomas, went to be with the Lord on September 11, 2000. She is survived by many siblings; her son Gary (Robin); Steven (Mary); Vernon (Jennifer) and Debbie Ann Chatman. Her grandchildren Valerie Prowisor (Josh); Michaela Chatman; Victor Chatman; Houston Awalt; Chantel and Brody Awalt along with all of her sweet great grandbabies. The family would like to say a special thank you to Crescent Hospice and Dee Moore, a loving friend, that helped us through Dean’s journey where her last stop was at the foot of our Savior’s feet. A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at 6:30 PM at Timberlake Baptist Church, 9850 SC Hwy.707, Myrtle Beach SC, 29588. We invite all of you to come celebrate Dean’s life!

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Claudine Awalt August 23 2019.
