Christopher “Jake”‘s Obituary Christopher Alan “Jake” Richard, 23, died August 13, 2019 as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle. He was born March 22, 1996 in Houston, Texas, the son of Chad Richard and Barbara Richard. He graduated from Deer Park High School in 2015 where he served in ROTC for 4 years. Jake had a zest for life that was only surpassed by his pursuit of adventure. He had an infectious smile that made his eyes twinkle and those dimples! He struggled with finding his niche in life but that didn’t stop him from trying just about anything. Jake loved his truck, his dog Chevy, and life, not necessarily in that order. He had a heart of gold and was always willing to help anyone Jake is survived by his mother, Barbara Richard, and his father and stepmother, Chad and Sherry Richard. He also leaves behind his maternal grandparents, Midge and Jerry Rosenberg; his paternal grandmother, Elaine Richard, two brothers as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held 11:30 AM, Saturday August 17, 2019 in the Chapel of Deer Park Funeral Directors with Pastor Jerry Garner officiating. Graveside service will be at 1:00 PM in Bethany Cemetery at Grandview Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday at Deer Park Funeral Directors, 336 E.
