Charles S. “Chuck”‘s Obituary McPherson, Charles S. “Chuck” Ypsilanti, MI Age 76, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 6, 1942 in Ferndale, MI, the son of Henry and Mary E. (Rider) McPherson. Chuck served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed by Ford Motor Company, Ypsilanti plant for 30 years, retiring in 1992. On August 22, 2003, he married Ruth Jackson and she survives. Chuck’s hobbies were hunting, fishing and camping but his joy was spending time with his family. In addition to his loving wife of sixteen years, survivors include: three children, Kimberly (Stan) Burgan of Willis, Lindsay (Steven) Lobdell of Tecumseh and Chuck (Elizabeth) McPherson Jr. of Romulus; stepson Robert Underwood; six grandchildren, Joshua, Jessica, Darcy, Daisie, Steven Jr. and Haddie; three great grandchildren, Kasen, Izabella and Henzley; one brother John (Janette) McPherson; one sister Mary Hunter; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Pat and Mike, one sister Joan, brother-in-law Vern Hunter and his faithful companion Etu. The funeral service will be 3 pm Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at Stark Funeral Service where the family will greet friends from 1 pm until time of service. Cremation will follow. Read More
