Obituary of Catherine Sodano Catherine Sodano Feb 3, 1935 – August 11, 2019 Catherine Sodano passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2019 at Princeton Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was 84 years old. Catherine was born and raised in Newark NJ, then moved to Garfield, NJ. She moved to Iselin in 1960 and lived there until moving to Jamesburg in 1996. She pursued a nursing degree and worked for the phone company for 7 years. She raised her family as a homemaker and volunteered for Deborah Heart Hospital for 35 years. She especially enjoyed spending time with family, dining out, vacationing, and community theater. She was pre-deceased by her aunt, Theresa Huzar and uncle, John Huzar. The couple raised her after her grandmothers passing until she married in 1960. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, James Sodano of Jamesburg, NJ, three children, son James Sodano Jr., daughters Patricia Sodano, Linda Fennessy and her husband Eric Fennessy of Monroe Twp, NJ., and many other extended family members. Visitation will be from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday, August 15, 2019 and 9:00am to 9:45am on Friday August 16, 2109 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. – 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831. Funeral services will begin at 9:45am on Friday from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be 10:30am at Holy Trinity Church in Helmetta, NJ.
