Carol’s Obituary Carol V. Taylor of South Street, transitioned from her earthly life to claim her eternal rest and peace on August 26, 2019. The Isle of Wight County native was born October 1, 1929 to Purdy and Mary Taylor. For many years, Carol resided in New Jersey and was employed as a clerk with Macy’s Department Store for 20 years. She attended Ebenezer Baptist Church while she lived in New Jersey. After her retirement in early 2000, she relocated to her hometown and renewed her relationship with Piney Grove Baptist Church where she served on the Senior Usher Ministry, Willing Workers and Missionary Circle. She is survived by one daughter, Gwen V. Blue (Lionel), grandchildren, Dr. Arthur Vaughan, Jr., Adrain Lateef Vaughan, three great grandchildren and many other loving relatives. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 1, 2019, Piney Grove Baptist Church, 1071 Carrsville Hwy., with the pastor Alfred D. Brown, Sr. delivering the eulogy. The committal and benediction will be held at Southview Cemetery. Read More
