Buddy’s Obituary Buddy Eugene Wendling, of Chickasha, OK, passed away at his home near Chickasha on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at the age of 83. He was born May 30, 1936 in Tabler, Oklahoma to Benjamin Franklin Wendling and Dolline (Jordan) Smith. Buddy has lived in Chickasha most of his life. He married Alice Jones on April 25, 1958 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He owned and operated The Car Store in Chickasha and hauled hay and did a lot of dirt work and excavation. He had served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 to 1957 in Hawaii and was a member of the Full Gospel Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter Chelsea Taylor in 1992, great-great grandson Baxton Shamblin in 2017; and a sister, Joyce Heavin. Buddy is survived by his wife Alice Wendling; Children: Lisa Thornburg and her husband, Gerald; Monty Wendling and his wife, Dana; Kimberly Taylor and her husband T.L.; and Michelle Huff; Sister, Elaine Hallverson; Grandchildren: Eric, Brian, Jami, Tara, Nathan, Charity, Jared, Derek and Alexis; 16 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
