Arvel’s Obituary Mr. Arvel Phillips, Jr., 71, of Corning, AR., passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. Mr. Phillips was born in Corning, AR., on July 19, 1948. He was retired from Basler Electric and enjoyed fishing, hunting, frog gigging and spending time with his grandsons. He is survived by his daughters Tiffany Phillips of Poplar Bluff, MO., Belinda Guthrie of Neelyville, MO.; adopted daughter Cheyenne Jackson of Poplar Bluff, MO; grandsons Jaden Williams, Payton Guthrie, Jacoby Braddock; nephew Paul Phillips of Springfield, MO.; nieces Sue Harmon of Piggott, AR., Angela Phillips of Brookland, AR.; ex-wife Bennetta Stewart of Poplar Bluff, MO.; many cousins, other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Arvel and Lorine (Patterson) Phillips and brother Charles Phillips. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, August 19, 2019 at 1:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the services in the Corning Cemetery.
