Anthony W. “Tony” Coletta August 18, 1937 – August 16, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation Anthony W. “Tony” Coletta, 81 of Salem, NH, died peacefully on Friday at Salemhaven Nursing Home, Salem, NH. Tony was born in Lawrence, MA, where he grew up and was educated, and graduated from Lawrence High School. He later attended and graduated from New England Barber College in Boston, MA. Tony was a resident of Salem, NH for 48 years. Tony started his 60-year career as a barber, owning the Tower Hill Barber Shop in Lawrence, MA. He later opened the Depot Barber Shop in Salem, NH, which he ran for many years, bringing in his children and grandchildren to work. Tony was an active member of the Masons at the Spicket Lodge # 85 in Salem, NH, where he led the title of the Tyler. He also was active with the Lawrence, MA United Lodge. He was very passionate about town politics and was a former Vice President of the Salem Taxpayers Assoc. He enjoyed his trip to Market Basket and was a very proud American, and very patriotic. Most of all Tony loved his family, and spending time with them, and making them laugh with his one of a kind humor. He will be missed by many people. Tony is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years: Marie A. (DiFruscio) Coletta of Salem, NH Children: Frank Coletta of Stuart, Fl, and Gina and her husband Tom Farris of Salem, NH Sister: Mary Young of Portsmouth NH Grandchildren: Anthony Coletta, Aviana Shapiro, Carissa Farris, Elisha Farris, and Daniel Farris Great Granddaughter: Giana Smith Calling hours will be held Tuesday, Aug. 20th from 4-8 PM at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Rd, Windham, NH. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 21st at 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Lawrence, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Spicket Lodge # 85, 107 Main St, Salem, NH 03079.
