Anthony “Tony” Stanek, age 70, died on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 in Dallas, Texas. Tony was married to Kathleen Fuller on May 25, 1985 in Rochester, NY and this union spanned 34 joyful years. Tony is survived by his wife, Kathleen (KC) Stanek, his sisters Maria Tillmann and Anne Ciaglia (Joe Ciaglia), mother-in-law Hilda Fuller, brother-in-law Russell Fuller, several nieces & nephews and many friends. While Tony worked at Eastman Kodak Company, he & Kathy lived in Rochester, NY. The Stanek’s relocated to north Texas where Tony worked for Sun Microsystems, and at the time of his passing, he was employed by Oracle. He shared his wife’s passion and love for horses and in his spare time traveled with her equine entourage all over the region. He hauled the horses, groomed them, faithfully watched their performances and supervised their fan club. Among some of Tony’s other favorite pastimes were fishing and gardening. Tony Stanek was a kind man with a calming presence. He was comfortable among diverse groups of people and had the most unique ability to triumph over adversity. Tony will be sadly missed by his family and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. A gathering to celebrate Tony’s life will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Clear Creek Farm, 7617 FM 428, Denton, TX 76208 starting at 5:30pm with fellowship following the service.
