Anthony James Herod Sr. October 17, 1970 – August 06, 2019 Send Sympathy Gifts Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation Anthony James Herod Sr., son of Mary Jane Ochoa and the late Clarence Herod, was born in Los Angeles, California, on October 17, 1970. He departed this life at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, on August 6, 2019. On August 3, 1991, in Merced, California, Anthony was united in marriage to DeDe Mendez and to this union five children were born. Anthony was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Merced, California and a Girl Scout Co-Leader. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, gardening, tinkering on his vehicles, and spending time with Doyle and Jewel. He loved his nephews, Jackob and John and lil sis, Bobbi and brother-in-law, Lance. Anthony’s greatest joy was spending time with his family and he truly loved all of his co-workers at the mines. Anthony was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Herod. Anthony is survived by his mother, Mary Jane Ochoa of California, his step-mother, Donna Herod of Fredericktown, Missouri, his wife, DeDe Herod of Ellington, Missouri, three sons, A.J. Herod II and wife Misty of Farmington, Missouri, and Mio and Matyos Herod both of Ellington, Missouri, two daughters, Melissa Herod of Viburnum, Missouri, and Miya Herod of Ellington, Missouri, brother, Michael Herod of Farmington, Missouri, step-brother, Jeff Evans, five sisters, Donna Herod of California, Sylvia Ortega of Norwalk, California, Virginia Herod of Hemit, California, Theresa Herod of California, and Mary Ann Herod, and two grandchildren, Antney and Remington Herod. Anthony will be missed by a host of relatives and many friends who will mourn his passing.
