Ann McDevitt Pitts, 81, passed away July 26, 2019. She was born January 9, 1938 to Charles McDevitt and Eleanor Brown-McDevitt in Washington, DC. Ann had a long career at Delta Airlines and loved to travel. Ann loved being a mother to her boys, including coaching her sons little league team, cheering her sons in soccer and football, being a Boy Scout Cub Master, encouraging her boys in their passions and educational endeavors. As a grandmother, she loved to cheer on her granddaughters at their basketball and soccer games. She took care of her mother and mother-in law, Cecelia Pitts aka “Granny Pitts” later in life. She was a lifetime contributor to the Human Society and loved animals, especially cats. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Douglas and Sharon Pitts and David and Vanessa Pitts; grandchildren Savannah, Stephanie, Regan and David Jr.; great-grandchildren Aaliyah and Evan. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 11:00 am at Segal Funeral Home, 3909 Henderson Blvd in Tampa.
