Funeral services for Alice Marie Valrey, 92, of Freeport will be Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Freeport with Dr. Sandy K. White officiating and Pastor Donnell A. Johnson, Sr. eulogist Burial will follow at Peaceful Rest Cemetery. She passed away on Monday, August 5, 2019 in Freeport, Texas. She loved sewing and cooking. She was a former musician and former member of Brazoria County Beautician Association. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She leaves to cherish her loving memories, daughters, Rheda D. Valrey and Alva Bernadette Valrey both of Freeport, Barbra Valrey Rice, Alice Faye Wilson and Evelyn Wright all of Houston; brothers, Willie Williams,Jr., Reginald Williams(Priscilla), Houston and Bruce Oscar Williams (Alice), Angleton; sister, Ella D. Williams, Houston, 13 grandchildren, 29 greatgrandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers will be Corey M. Valrey, Neal Preston O’Neal, Jr., Leonard Rice, Jr., Allen Wilson II, DaiShown Valrey and George I. Stepner. Visitation will be Friday, August 9, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Brazoria. There will be viewing at the church on the day of service from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. There will be no viewing afterward.
