Agnes’ Obituary Agnes L. (Lynn) Ehle, 93, former longtime Liverpool resident died on Thursday. She was born in Syracuse the youngest child of Anthony and Bridget (Gallagher) Lynn, thus earning her nickname “Babe”. She married her high school sweetheart Harry M. Ehle, Jr. on August 17, 1946. The couple enjoyed 65 years of marriage until his death in August of 2011. Agnes was a willing companion to her husband on many boating, snowmobile, RV, fishing, camping and duck hunting adventures. For many years Agnes and her husband wintered in Marco Island and more recently Vero Beach, Florida. The highlight of the past 60 years though was summers enjoyed at Montario Point on Lake Ontario. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with their friends, were a true joy to Agnes. They were always welcome and the candy cupboard was always full. Agnes was an enthusiastic founder of the Liverpool Garden Club and a competitor for many years at the NYS Fair Garden Show exhibitions. She was a past member of the Bellevue Country Club, Calvary Club and Onondaga Lake Yacht Club. While raising her family in Liverpool she was a parishioner of St. Joseph the Worker Church, a summer parishioner of Christ Our Light Church in Pulaski, NY and winter parishioner at St. John of the Cross Church, in Vero Beach, Fl. She is predeceased by her daughter, Aileen E. Jackson, grandson, James G. Patell, granddaughter, Bridget J. Hennigan and siblings, John Lynn, Kathleen Leskoske and Mary Pedro. She is survived by her daughters, Sheila E. Owen of Watertown, NY, Colleen E. (James) Patell of Stanford, CA, Holly T. Ehle (John Hayes) of Boonton, NJ, Heather E. (Michael) Hennigan of Liverpool, her sons, H. Pat (Lynne) Ehle, and Thomas L. Ehle both of Liverpool, Joseph S. (Wendy) Ehle of Baldwinsville, 16 grandchildren, 11 great- grandchildren, her sister, Ann Franz of Utica, NY and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Sunday, August 11, 2019 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home, Inc. 300 Second Street Liverpool. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:00 am at the funeral home and 11:00 am in St. Joseph the Worker Church, 1001 Tulip St., Liverpool where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal and entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery Resurrection Mausoleum in DeWitt.
