Wilma J. Hurt, 89, a lifetime resident of Wabash, passed away at 4:12 p.m. on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Wellbrooke of Wabash. Wilma was born, in Wabash, on November 1, 1929, to the late William & Mary (Clupper) Ogan. She married Deward Hurt on March 25, 1955. He passed away on April 8, 2012. Wilma worked as a homemaker. She was a lifetime member of Treaty Church of Christ and former member of Tri-Township Home Economics Club. Wilma is survived by her cousins, Colleen Campbell, Vivian Proffitt, and Louise Friermood, all of Wabash. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992. Officiating the services will Pastor Mark Wisniewski. Burial will follow at Mississinewa Memorial Cemetery, Somerset, Indiana. Visitation for family and friends will be one hour prior to services starting at 1:00 p.m. Preferred memorials are to the North Haiti Christian Mission.
