William G. McElwain, 84, of Lewistown, passed away Monday, June 17, 2019, at Valley View Haven. Born Sept. 23, 1934, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late, Herbert C. and Mildred (Guthridge) McElwain. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by; siblings, Virginia Belle (Guthridge) Baumgardner, Mary Helen (Miller) Barger, John Herbert McElwain, Calvin Lewis McElwain, Dorothy Martha McElwain, Frances Mildred (McElwain) Morrison. He is survived by; a wife, Helen (Stoner) McElwain; son, Cody McElwain, and wife, Jennifer, of Lewistown; siblings, Gertrude Mae (McElwain) Druckenmiller, Mildred Hope (McElwain) Robertson, Clifford Joseph McElwain, and wife, Carol. Bill was a life member of the City Hook & Ladder, Brooklyn, FAME, and a member of the fire police. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Friday, June 21, 2019, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m., with Pastor David Aungst officiating. Interment will take place at Juniata Memorial Park.
