Sliker, 86, of Marseilles, passed away Monday, June 3, 2019 at his home. Memorial services will be held 12 p.m. Saturday, June 8, 2019 at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home with Rev. Colleen Lawrence officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. prior to services Saturday at the funeral home. Bill was born on September 17, 1932, in Streator, to Albert and Arlene (Hess) Sliker. In 1969, he married Shirley Wruck, who preceded him in death in 2004. In 2006, he married Judith Jostes, who preceded him in death in 2015. He served as an Illinois State Trooper for 30 years, and served as a range officer and equipment manager until his retirement in 1991. Then he worked part time at the Marseilles and Seneca Police departments and at Prairie Lakes Golf Course as a range officer. Bill is survived by his children, Bradley A. (Kristi Vatland) Sliker, Sandra Dennis, Rosalie (David) Turner, and Deborah (William) Brzoznowski, all of Marseilles, and Julie A. Cates of Cisne, IL, Michael Sliker of Streator, and Cindy Sliker Long of Pahrump, Nevada; 26 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Sandy Halsne and Joann Essman, both of Streator. He was preceded in death by his wives, Shirley and Judy; one son, Richard Sliker; and two grandchildren, Tina Turner and Daniel Cates. Seals-Campbell Funeral Home 1009 E.
