William Ray Pennington, 67, of Richmond, widower of June Wilson Pennington, passed from this life on Wednesday, June 5, 2019. He was born in Clay County, Kentucky on Thursday, April 17, 1952, the son of the late Ray and Betty McQueen Pennington. He was a carpenter and construction worker who loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He was an avid fisherman, trapper and hunter. He really enjoyed coon hunting and searching for ginseng. He had accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and was anticipating a home in Heaven. He was preceded in death by two sons, Billy Pennington and Scott Pennington. Survivors include his daughter, Stacy Gabbard (Mark), of Richmond; three grandchildren, Logan Gabbard, Ethan Gabbard and Raelyn Gabbard. Private family services will be held.
