Ms. Grooms was born December 10, 1929, in Wynne, Arkansas to the late Anderson Eugene and Rosie (Thompson) Collins. She is a retired seamstress from Memphis Furniture Company. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by three daughters, Marsheilla Rodriguez, Joy Hawks, and Terry Grooms; an infant child; four brothers, Garland, Lee, Earl, and Sammy Collins; and one sister, Dorothy Webb. Ms. Grooms is survived by one son, Robert Eugene (Paula) Grooms of Millington, TN; two daughters, Patricia (Don) Lampley of Dickson, TN, and Brenda (Eddie) Davis of New Johnsonville, TN; one sister, Doris (Willie) McCalister of West Olive, Michigan; ten grandchildren, Chris and John Davis, Jason, Kevin, and Marlena Scott, Josh Grooms, Dawn Cranfield, Danielle Tucker, and Aristeo and Stephanie Rodriguez; and several great-grandchildren. Family gathering will be planned at a later date. Arrangements by Dickson Funeral Home.
