She was born on June 17, 1963 in Chicago, Illinois to Mr. and Mrs. Jose Valle Diaz and Guadalupe Rodriguez Diaz. Velma is preceded in death by her father. She was a humble yet giving person, always giving to others in any capacity she could. She had a cheerful spirit and loved life and lived it to the fullest. She had a hard life but always made the best of it. Velma will always be remembered for her love and charity by her family and friends. She adored and cherished being with her grandchildren. She was a loving and caring, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt and Friend to many. She leaves behind to cherish her beautiful memory her devoted husband of 41 years, Cristoval Flores, children, Susan Flores (Jacinto Oscar Trevino), Christopher Flores Jr. (Rosa Govea), Nicholas Ryan Flores, Cody Tyler Flores, Grandchildren, Ananda T. King, Victoria Lynn Flores, Nicholas Eric Flores, Naveah Flores, Natalie Flores, Alayna Lauren Dai Flores, Marreline Flores and Maddox Oscar Kiad Trevino, her Mother, Guadalupe Trevino, Siblings, Mary Ann Mendoza, (Bernie), Lucy Cruz (Juan), Jose Diaz Jr. (Josie), Miguel Diaz (Dolores), Cindy Diaz (Hilario), Rolando Diaz (Lupita), Edna Diaz, and Armando Diaz. She is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces other relatives and friends. There will be a visitation with a prayer on Sunday, June 16, 2019 from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm. All services will conclude at 6 pm her body will be cremated as per her request.
