Thomas, age 78, passed away June 21, 2019. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Barbara (Gibson) McAllister, 2 sons, Paul (Diane) and Brent and 2 granddaughters, Briana and Allison, brother Robert (Beth) McAllister, sister Ann (Norwood) Clark, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Pat and Jack Krause. Tom graduated from East Grand Rapids High School, class of 1960 and Western Michigan University. He was an Industrial Engineer, who worked for several manufacturing companies in the Grand Rapids area. For seven years he owned his own company, where he designed and produced outdoor wood products. He had a wonderful sense of humor and with an exceptional mechanical mind, could fix just about anything. He also loved spending time at the family cabin up north. Per Tom’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. There will be visitation for the family Tuesday, July 2nd from 3p.m. to 6p.m. at the Metcalf & Jonkhoff Funeral Home. Donations in Tom’s name can be made to Arts In Motion Studio West Michigan.
