Sybil’s Obituary Sybil Gertrude Fee Goodson was born April 27, 1925 in Texarkana, TX to William Quitman and Beatrice Stephens Fee. She married James Elton Goodson on January 29, 1944. They were married almost 64 years before his death in October 2007. To this union was born one son, William Michael Goodson. Mrs. Goodson is survived by her son and daughter in law, Mike and Jo Goodson of Holly Lake Ranch, TX; a grandson and his wife, Mike, Jr. and Shannon Goodson of Tyler, TX; granddaughter and her husband Stacie and Craig Fink of Holly Lake Ranch, TX; 4 great grandchildren Kristen Goodson, Ashleigh Jo Luke, Tori Goodson, and Brayden Goodson; and four great great grandsons Peyten, Presten, Lincoln, and Paxton Goodson and one great great granddaughter Piper; nephew and family, Dr. William R. Coley and wife and daughter, Judy and Katie of Richardson, TX. Her sister, Doris Fee Coley preceded her in death. She was a member of Texarkana First Baptist Church since 1954, over 65 years. She worked for Smith’s for many years and retired after over 24 years as a secretary/bookkeeper for Pace & Sons/ Overhead Door Company. She is a member of Texarkana Auxiliary 2684, Fraternal Order of Eagles, is past President of F.O.E. 2684; Past President Arkansas State F.O.E. Auxiliary, Past SW Regional President F.O.E., Outstanding Member of Arkansas State F.O.E. Auxiliary, Hall of Fame Member Arkansas State F.O.E. 1993-1994, Past Grand Auxiliary Mother F.O.E. Also, she served the Elks as Past President Texarkana Emblem Club 390 and Past President of the Arkansas State Association of Emblem Clubs. She was also a member of Order of Eastern Star, Chapter 211 and Social Order of the Beauceant #194. Pallbearers are four members of her family, Robin Cole, Tommy Garner, Jimmy Goodson, Gary Page, and Van Strength. Funeral services will be held 10:00 am, Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Texarkana Funeral Home Chapel, Texarkana, TX with burial following at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
