Steven Allen J R Smith, 28, of Eaton, OH, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, June 26, 2019. Born July 22, 1990, he was a son of Steven Eugene Smith and Leeann L. (Marker) Stapleton. He is preceded in death by his great uncle Dwight “Panama Red” Collins on June 3, 2019. Survived by parents Steven Eugene Smith of West Alexandria and Leeann L. Stapleton and husband John of Eaton; children Noah Smith and Aurora Smith both of Eaton; mother of the children Candece Torres of Eaton; maternal grandparents Sherrie and Ferrell Adkins of West Alexandria and Tom and Carla Marker of West Alexandria; paternal grandparents Bob and Peggy Smith of Eaton; great grandmother Garnet Collins of West Alexandria; brother Joshua Smith and his daughter Mercy of Eaton; sister Kayla Smith of Eaton; friend and mentor Warren Hawley of Eaton, along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 PM Saturday, July 1, 2019 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens – 3377 US Rt. 35 – West Alexandria. A brief service will follow the visitation at 4:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
