Stephen Earl Fesler “Greasy”, 74, of Anderson, passed away on June 26, 2019 surrounded by his family at his residence. He was born on January 22, 1945 in Anderson, Indiana and resided most of his life in Markleville. Steve graduated from Markleville High School in 1963. He served his country in the United States Army with the 32nd Surgical Hospital in Wurzburg, Germany. He worked for Delco Remy, and retired in 2000 after 36 years of service. He was a member of the AMVETS Post 26, Madison Lodge #44 F.&A.M., American Legion Post 408, and a proud union member of Local UAW #662, where he served as a past Shop Chairman. Steve loved life and lived it to its fullest. He enjoyed his dogs, traveling, fishing, racing, baseball, IU basketball, reading, music, and sharing good beer and food with family and friends. Steve is survived by his loving wife, Dru Fesler; daughter, Christine Fesler of Pendleton; step-daughter, Heither Petry; and brother, Bob (Judi) Fesler. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Parrish, Trenton, and Raeley (Rails); one great-grandson; two sister-in-laws, Paula Harrington and Chris (Rollie) Girton; neices and nephews, Tim, Jim (Kim and Courtney), Jennifer, Lanny, and Danny (Kevin), and several other extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Dortha Fesler; and sister, Judy Fesler. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2019, 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm at AMVETS Post 26, 939 S.
