Shirley’s Obituary Shirley J. (Grove) Wilson, 69, of Stone Creek Ridge, Huntingdon, went to be with the Lord unexpectedly at 9:57 P.M. on Saturday, June 22, 2019, at UPMC Altoona. Born January 7, 1950 in Huntingdon, she was a daughter of the late Samuel Calvin Grove and Virginia Marguerite (Brown) Grove. She was united in marriage to James E. Wilson on September 12, 1966, in Pine Grove Mills. Mr. Wilson survives at their residence. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Keith R. Wilson and his wife, Trena, of Huntingdon; three grandchildren, Dustin, Alecia and Brionna Wilson; and four great-grandchildren, Madison, Kayden, Rowen and Mila Wilson. She is also survived by three brothers and three sisters, Ronald L. Grove and his wife, Sandy, of Alexandria, Beverly L. Caldwell of Huntingdon, Richard A. Grove and his wife, Helen, of Georgia, Kathy Hagans and her husband, Jim, of Reedsville, Robert C. Grove of Virginia and Patty D. Goodman and her husband, Steve, of Huntingdon; and many special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammie L. Henney on April 6, 2014; and a brother, Jimmy Grove in infancy. She attended Huntingdon public schools and was a graduate of Huntingdon High School. She later completed computer courses at Juniata College, Huntingdon. During her working career, Mrs. Wilson was employed by The Pennsylvania State University, the former Arrow Shirt Factory, Huntingdon, and lastly her family business, FRP Fabricators, Huntingdon, where she handled the administrative duties until her retirement. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially gardening, and also liked reading, crafts with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and a former dirt track race fan. She loved the company of her Bernese Mountain dog, Stryker, as well as, her past dogs, Mitsy and Daisy. Most important to her was the bond she had with her great-granddaughter, Madison. She had a special place in her heart for her and she treasured every moment they spent together. At the request of the family all services will be held privately. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Huntingdon. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in remembrance of Shirley J.
